At Fairfield, our student council is called Fairfield Forum. Our aim is to have an inclusive group of pupils, who meet once every half term, to discuss and exchange ideas and issues in an open, safe forum. The forum consists of 70 pupils, two from each form group, who have been elected by peers in their form as part of our focus on democracy and British Values. The aim is to develop leadership roles for our pupils to support their journey in becoming responsible, active citizens within our community. Fairfield Forum representatives can be identified wearing their purple badges. Fairfield Forum pupils have an input into delivering assemblies, raising money for charities, taking visitors on tours, suggesting ideas and changes which will improve our school, and feedback on teaching and learning strategies in lessons. In addition, we have 38 Subject Ambassadors across the school representing different subjects. These pupils have volunteered to give up their time to support and develop curriculum areas, contributing to ongoing improvements to learning and developing their leadership skills ready for the world of work.
