GCSE and Vocational Qualification Examinations
GCSE examinations are taken at the end of Year 11 by all pupils. The GCSE Timetable for Summer 2026 is below. Pupils who study BTEC or Cambridge National courses may also take external examinations during Year 10 and 11 or complete practical examinations depending on the subject. For all externally assessed examinations, it is vital that pupils and their parents/carers read and understand the Information for Candidates documents published by the exams regulator, JCQ.
Pupils in Year 10 and 11 should familiarise themselves with the regulations of external examination and are supported with this throughout Year 10 and 11 through mock examinations which are conducted in the same strict conditions. Pupils are supported with Exam Access Arrangements, where necessary, so that everyone has the potential to showcase their excellent progress.
